Pet Photography . . . with a Difference

When most people think of pet photography, they think either of the snapshots they take themselves, or posed shots where the pet is sitting up on a table and concentrating on not falling off. Those images are beautiful, but they don't always capture your pet's personality.

What I do is create glamour shots of your pet by starting with photos of your pet being himself or herself (or themselves). I take photos of your pets in their own homes or in a local park. I capture your pet's true essence, and then I use digital editing and processing (I sometimes think of it as a little bit of black magic and a lot of technology) and create photos like this one of Olga Mae, who stood still for all of about five seconds during her photo shoot:

I Value Your Portrait

Some people, and regrettably this includes some photographers, do not understand the importance of a portrait. What is a portrait, exactly? My definition is that a portrait is a picture that captures the essence of the person or animal being photographed.

If I shoot a photo session for you and come back with the preview prints and you're not saying, "Oh, yeah, that really his personality," then we need to shoot again, because I didn't do what you asked. And I will shoot again. I will come back, and we'll shoot again. No charge.

I understand what you want from a portrait, and I go out of my way to provide it.

I Come to You, Automatically

To my knowledge, there is not another pet photographer in Little Rock who comes to your home or meets you in a park and takes photos of your pets in relaxed, natural settings.

I don't have a studio, and I don't plan on ever having one, because I enjoy taking photos where my subjects are comfortable. I can get a much more natural look when I come to you, and I enjoy meeting people on familiar territory and getting to know them a little while we do the session.

I take as many photos, of as many people and pets, as needed, and create a great proof package for you to choose your prints from. You can see my work in the gallery.

I Believe in Helping Animals

I'm working closely with several rescues in the area to help pets in shelters and to provide spay/neuter services to prevent more animals from ending up in shelters.
